Placerville, CA, July 16, 2020 – El Dorado County Fire Protection District Firefighters at Station 19 in Pleasant Valley, CA received the help of a new fire engine last night. The new “Engine 319” is a Boise Mobile Equipment custom 2020 International chassis Type 3 fire engine. This fire engine is specially designed to enhance wildfire firefighting capability but will also carry many tools and equipment commonly used for structural firefighting, emergency medical services and specialty rescue calls such as automobile extrications and rope rescue calls.

Engine 319 will directly serve the Oak Hill, Pleasant Valley and Sierra Springs communities, southeast of the city of Placerville. Once the vehicle was delivered to the Fire District, Station 19 firefighters worked to outfit the apparatus with the assistance of John Lyons of Lyons Truck Repair and TNT Powder Coating of Shingle Springs.

The El Dorado County Fire Protection District provides fire and EMS services in the communities of Placerville, Shingle Springs, Pollock Pines, Camino, Pleasant Valley, Cool, Coloma, Lotus, Pilot Hill, Pleasant Valley, Oak Hill, Strawberry, and Kyburz.
