Videos: Thousands of Rental Cars Destroyed in Fire Near Florida Airport

FORT MYERS, Florida  –  A large fire destroyed thousands of vehicles at a rental car overflow area at the Southwest Florida International Airport in Lee County on Friday, according to CBS Miami.

Firefighters from every department in Lee County responded to the fire as well as aviation units and firefighters from Collier and Charlotte counties.

The fire was fully contained and extinguished on Saturday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
