Wildfire Forces Evacuations in Utah

Wildfire has approached residences and cabins

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A wildfire has forced the evacuation of four homes near the mountain resort town of Park City in Utah.

Summit County spokeswoman Krachel Murdock said the fire started Monday afternoon about 10 miles northeast of Park City. She said shifting winds fueled the blaze as it approached a mixture of primary residences and cabins in the area.

Murdock says the fire was less than 1 square mile (less than 1 square kilometer) as of Monday evening.

She says it’s unknown how the fire started.
