California Firefighters Injured in Rollover

DUCOR, California – Four firefighters were injured when the fire engine they were riding in overturned.

KFSN reports that four CAL FIRE firefighters were hurt when their vehicle went off the road and rolled over several times. The incident occurred in the town of Ducor in Tulare County on Wednesday at approximately 8:30 a.m.

California Highway Patrol Officer Marc McWilliams told KFSN that the fire engine veered off to the north shoulder, overcorrected, went off the roadway and overturned.

The firefighter driving the fire engine suffered major injuries, according to KFSN, and is being treated at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia. The other firefighters suffered minor injuries.

The firefighters were from San Diego and were returning home after covering a Tulare County CAL FIRE station during the Creek Fire near Woodlake.

The California Highway Patrol stated they are not sure if speed was a factor in the crash.
