California Bulldozer Operator Killed in Crash

Private contractor was assigned to the North Fire

 

 

BLUE CANYON, California – A bulldozer operator was killed on Tuesday in a car crash while assigned to the North Fire in the Tahoe National Forest, according to KTLA 5.

Antonio Flores, 37, was a private bulldozer operator en route to the command post at the Blue Canyon Airport when he was involved in a crash on Interstate 80 east of Blue Canyon.

During Flores three years as a private contractor helping fight several fires for the U.S Forest Service and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

He is survived by his wife and four children.
