CA Evaluates Canadian ‘Water Cannon’ Technology to Protect Towns from Wildland Fires

Fire & Flood Emergency Services, a Canadian firm, recently deployed its Water Cannon technology at a California winery to show how it can protect towns from approaching wildland fires.

The system creates a wall of water to stop advancing flames, and provides access to water supplies for firefighters to use, KCRA reports,

Once deployed, the system can be managed remotely with an app.

The company says the technology has been used effectively in 14 fires in Canada, and it’s hoping ot bring it to the California market,
