Pilot Mountain (NC) Fire Spreads to Over 1,000 Acres, Crews Continue Making Progress

Crews continue battling the Mountain Top fire in North Carolina as it expanded Wednesday to just over 1,000 acres.

A representative from the North Carolina Forest Service told Fox 8 that he is confident the fire can be held within its current the 1,050-acre footprint.
