Aircraft help ground crews on tough terrain

 

LOUDLABS NEWS – LAKE HILLS – On Wednesday evening August 23rd Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire responded to multiple reports of brush on fire dangerously close to homes.

The fire was reported around 6:14pm on Lincoln Street / Skyridge Drive in an area known to locals as Graffiti Falls. The fire was burning in medium flashy fuels burning up hill at a moderate rate of spread. Firefighters with the assistance of fixed wing aircraft were able to contain the fire to roughly 2.5 acres and stop the forward progress of the fire. Per Fire officials at the scene, at least one home was threatened as Firefighters provided structure defense. Firefighters made a quick and aggressive fire attack and were able to knock the fire down within 45 minutes as the fire burned
