Global SuperTanker arrives in Santiago and prepares to fight wildfires

SANTIAGO, Chile (Tele13) – Este miércoles alrededor de las 07:00, aterrizó en Santiago la aeronave Super Tanker que ayudará a combatir los incendios forestales que afectan a varias zonas del país.

A las 16:00 horas, el súper avión despegó desde Pudahuel hacia Hualañé, para comenzar las primeras pruebas.

El anuncio se dio a conocer luego que la creadora de la Fundación Viento Sur Lucy Ana Avilés de Walton, chilena residente en Estados Unidos, ofreciera 2 millones de dólares para cancelar el costo de transporte.
