California Conservation Corps – A four-mile hike up 900 feet will exhaust just about anyone.

Imagine adding another hour of back breaking work of digging a fire line the length of a football field.

It’s the test CCC Corpsmembers must pass as part of a wildland firefighting hand crew.

CCCButte’s crews passed their drill this week and are now ready to take on the task of protecting our property and most importantly, our people.
