C-130’s training with MAFFS

 

 

airailimages – C-130 crews from four airlift wings that have the specialized aerial firefighting assignment convened at McClellan Reload Base near Sacramento, California, in April 2018 for a week of training with the Modular Aerial Firefighting System (MAFFS).

The crews worked with lead planes that put out smoke markers to show the C-130 crews where to drop water, inexpensively representing the retardant they will use on actual fires.
