PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A wildfire has scorched nearly 10 square miles of brush, tall grass and timber in sparsely populated south-central Oregon.
Authorities say the fire that began Saturday near the unincorporated community of Summer Lake is threatening structures and sage grouse habitat. Officials have scheduled a meeting Tuesday night to update the community on the status of the fire.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
