Renewed Fire Danger in SoCal

Santa Ana winds cause red flag warnings

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Fire danger is increasing again as gusty Santa Ana winds blow through Southern California.

The National Weather Service says the warm, dry air could drop humidity levels into the single digits Wednesday.

Red flag warnings for critical fire weather conditions are in place in mountain, forest and valley areas in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Gusts could top 30 mph (48 kph).

Fire officials have deployed additional resources to be able to respond quickly in case blazes break out.

Temperatures could reach the low 80s (high 20s Celsius) in parts of greater Los Angeles.
